Delivery Policy

TJ’S FURNITURE & APPLIANCES DELIVERY POLICY

PLEASE NOTE:

TJ’s Furniture & Appliances organize delivery from Auckland on your behalf once goods are with the transport company they are out of our control, all relevant contact numbers etc will be emailed to you, from that point any communication on delivery status etc is between you the buyer and the transport company.  We do have some pretty sharp compeditive freight prices which we pass directly onto you our customers.

a) Every effort will be made to ensure that the goods arrive on time, undamaged and without defects.

b) Please make sure to measure all doorways, hallways, stairways and elevators if necessary and make sure that the goods can fit into your home, also please make sure that anything that will be in the way of the delivery team is removed prior to the team getting there, TJ's delivery team cannot move or shift any existing items for you.

c) TJ's will contact the customer with a delivery time prior to delivery. This time is only an estimated time and may vary.

d) All goods must be paid for in FULL prior to actual delivery, there will be NO cash on delivery (COD).

e) TJ's shall not be liable for delays beyond its control whether caused by weather, unexpected traffic conditions, and other complications beyond its control.

f) Delivery charges are based on a simple delivery.  Where access is deemed difficult by the delivery team (e.g.: balconies, narrow stairways), the delivery team are not obliged to deliver the goods into your homes. Under such circumstances, staff reserve the right to leave the goods in a more accessible place (e.g.: garage or shelter) or if necessary outside your front door that gives access to your home. Thereafter it is the buyer's responsibility to move the goods into the home.

g) TJ's shall not be liable for any damage to the goods or property of the customer howsoever caused by delivery team during delivery.

h) If delivery takes up more than a reasonable amount of time due to circumstances outside of TJ's Control and where TJ’s delivery team have other commitments, delivery staff reserve the right to leave the goods where ever necessary closest to customers house as they can.

I) When goods to be delivered by us cannot be delivered on an agreed delivery date, which is due to the customers own unavailability, an extra delivery charge will apply for any redeliveries.

j) In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your delivery, we must be informed by midday on the delivery day otherwise an extra delivery charge will apply.

k) A third party delivery company may be employed at TJ's discretion and the above terms & conditions will still apply.
